A Playful Engagement Session at Rosario Head in Deception Pass
Jenna and Joe’s engagement session at Rosario Head in Deception Pass was playful, colorful, and filled with the best golden sunset light. We wandered through the grassy areas along the coast before making our way toward the beach, where washed driftwood, rocky shoreline, and views across the water gave us so much variety without ever leaving Rosario Head.
Jenna and Joe are naturally fun together, which made the session feel easy from the beginning. A light, cool breeze came off the water while the sunlight continued to change throughout the evening, getting warmer and softer as the sun dropped lower. Between the grassy foliage, beach, rugged cliffs, and open water, we had so many different backdrops to work with.
We finished along the cliffs as the last golden light stretched across the water. Rosario Head is such a beautiful place for engagement photos, and Jenna and Joe made the evening even more fun to photograph.

Rosario Head is located within Deception Pass State Park and is one of my favorite locations for engagement photography near Anacortes and Whidbey Island. The area combines coastal scenery, grassy landscapes, rocky cliffs, driftwood-covered beaches, and views of the surrounding water, giving couples several different looks within one engagement session.
